BAKED STUFFED BELL PEPPER





Dah lama juga tak upload resepi bonda..kali ni nak masak something yang tak pernah saya makan..kisahnya bermula ayahanda pulang dari pasar malam, sedang nak simpan sayur dan bahan mentah kering yang lain, tiba-tiba bonda nampak lada benggala ni..atau capsicum atau bell pepper..banyak pulak tu.haisshh nak masak apa ni?...

Bonda kata jom la try buat stuffed bell pepper..

Hah?apa tu...camna nak masak tu..ok mula lah nk korek buku resepi klasik bonda.tulisan aunty Betty Crocker..owh ada rupanya resepi ni..Tapi bonda mau ubah sikit..a bit of fusion touch

Okay...jom masuk dapur


THE BELL PEPPER..

1. Cut the top of the bell pepper but dont throw it away...put a side..

2. Soak in boiling water for maximum 3 min. Let it rest...



THE STUFF...CHICKEN OR BEEF...AS YOU WISH...

1. Red Onion (1/2 ) + garlic (2 cloves) + ginger (1 slice , optional) => Chopped and saute (tumis dgn sikit    
     minyak)

2. Put 1 small bowl of minced chicken or beef + 1 table spoon of kurma or kari powder + Salt and pepper => Mix together and stir until chicken half cooked

2. Add small amount of mixed vegetables  (corn, peas and carrot) + (1/2 red onion + 1 tomatoes + 1 chili ) and cook about 5 min

3. Placed into the bell pepper..and pour a small amount of tomato ketchup...




TIME TO BAKE....

Bake at 150C for 30 min..

Done...



Hmm.. it seems like mine was overcooked...(According to the recipe book it stated 45 min..huhu)..but Bonda advice..next time..just try 30 min...

Ok jom makan dengan nasi...hehe  (sat..sat hang ck omptih...sat..sat..hang ckp melayu..) hehhe

FRUITY ALMOND CINNAMON ROLLS



Tak tahulah kenapa rasa macam dah lama tak buat cinnamon roll dan tiba-tiba terasa plak nak buat hehe. Bukan apa sekadar nak makan sesuatu yang lain sikit di hujung minggu. Lagipun nampak beberapa kotak kecil kismis yang rasa baik la ia digunakan.

LETS START..

Macam biasa la kasi hidup itu yis dulu..

1 tbsp of dry yeast + 1tbsp sugar  + 1 tbsp wheat flour => Dilute in small amount of warm water..and close it for few minutes, wait until bubbles come out..hehe

sambil-sambil tu boleh la basuh pinggan ke bancuh wet ingredient ke..

WET INGREDIENT..

1 large egg + 1/2 cup milk + 1/2 cup sugar + 1/2 cup margerine/butter (then melt it before mix together)
=> mix and beat

Add the yeast into this mixture

DRY INGREDIENT

About 4 cups of wheat flour

AFTER THAT...

Make a whole in the flour, pour the wet ingredient and mix

knead until it become a dough..nicely like a pillow. hehe. Close and wait until it rise for at least 1 hour.
(Uli semua bahan-bahan sehingga membentuk doh, tambah tepung jika perlu..bentukkan seperti bantal seperti gmbar di bawah)..

O0o0oppss..aiseyman.. lupa nak ambil pic sebelum..tengok terus lah rupa doh yang dah naik selepas 2 jam..pembesaran doh adalah sebanyak 2-3 kali ganda. jeng..jeng..


Make a small hole just to see  how much it rise..

THE FILLING

Golden raisins + Black raisins + Cranberry + Brown sugar + 1 -2 tsp of cinnamon + 1 tbsp of Almond powder + almond slice
* the amount of the fruits, almond and sugar is up to your preference :)

ITS TIME TO ROLL

Then..place nicely in greased baking pan. Close and wait at least 1 hour until it rise again..











LETS BAKE...

Sprinkle some slice almonds and greased with melted butter.

Bake at 150C about 20-30 mins.

Try to spread with butter while it's still hot.. nice for breakfast and evening tea..hikhik ('_^)v

SWEET SOUR BAKED SALMON



"Adoi nak masak lauk tambah apa malam ni?"..nak buat yang senang tapi bajet sedap. lepas tu bonda bg idea. "Try buat sweet sour salmon tapi jangan goreng plak ikan tu...baked".

Hmm.. ok gak. cer try..cer try..nak cerita secara spesifik memang tak ingat sukatannya..biasa la masak lauk selalu agak-agak jer..dan secukup rasa..ok lah..hanya tulis sekadar yang mampu.

THE FISH...

a pinch of salt + a pinch of black pepper + few chopped ginger  => baked for 20-30 min at 150C

THE SWEET SOUR SAUCE

3 cloves of garlic + 1 big red onion + 1 slice of ginger + 1 red chilli => blend

Tumis dengan sedikit minyak..sehingga naik bau. Ad (tetiba BM plak hehe)

Add 1 table spoon of tomato puree + half cup of water

Pour small amount of chilli sauce + 1 table spoon of honey

Add chopped tomato and pineapple
(pineapple will enhance the taste of sweet sour,..., saya tak letak sebab takda stock, kalau ada lebih terangkat)

Stir until boiled and add water if needed

Finally add chopped leek and celery (daun bawang dan daun saderi (daun sup), saderi wonderpet pun boleh)..

Pour the sauce on the baked salmon.. and done...lalala ('_^)v
